YF Smoothie Swaps: Part 1

It’s always so tempting to grab a quick drink on the run or upsize that meal at the drive thru, but it’s those sneaky cals that can harm your quest for a 6-pack, and we’re not havin’ it! We’ve put together some super simple guilt-free smoothies that will keep you on track and fuller for longer. Simply blend all the ingredients together, pour into a glass or shaker and enjoy!

1. THE BREKKIE SKIPPER

Do you snooze that extra 20 minutes, wake up in a flurry and leave the house breakfast-less? Then when you zoom into the servo to grab fuel (because that little light has been taunting you for days now), you grab a flavoured milk and chug it down on the way to work? Well we’ve created the perfect smoothie for you. It’s jam packed with delicious antioxidant rich berries and goodies to keep you feeling satisfied without the teaspoons of sugar.

Berry Brekkie Smoothie
3/4 frozen mixed berries
1 YF Superfood Bar
1/2 cup coconut water
1/2 cup chilled water
30g protein powder (natural or vanilla)
1 tbs rolled oats
1 tbsp natural Greek yoghurt
1 tsp honey (optional - for extra sweetness)

 

 

2. THE COFFEE ADDICT

Are you a “But first…coffee.” kinda person? You literally can’t even until you’ve had your caffeine hit even if that means resorting to cheap sugar-loaded alternatives? Well don’t we have a goodie for you! Our Energy Lift Smoothie gives you that coffee hit, along with the goodness of bananas and protein. This gem with give you the energy you need to get through the morning and is also perf for an arvo pick-me-up.

 

Energy Lift Smoothie

1 small frozen banana, chopped
1 YF Salted Caramel Protein Ball
1/2 cup almond milk
1/2 cup chilled water
30g protein powder
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp chia seeds
1 tsp instant coffee (or 1 expresso shot)
