#YFPLATEUP - Win $500 of Youfoodz every week in March!

We’re the generation of foodies, filters (or #nofilters) and flatlays…so what better than to combine all three for your chance to WIN $500 worth of Youfoodz every week this month?!

Yep. It’s that easy. All you have to do is grab your fave Youfoodz meal out of the fridge, get a little fun-cy (fancy) and share your best plate up on Instagram by hashtagging #YFPlateUp

Now you’re thinking that it’s finally time to make your MKR dreams com true, but…you’ve got no idea where to start! Well, here are a couple of sweet tips to get you started on how to take a legendary pic…you can thank us later.

  1. Crockery & Cutlery
    Nice, clean cutlery & crockery always helps get your plating on point! Don’t worry, you don’t have to fork (haha) out an arm and a leg for them either, cause @abrokegirlsblog has found some sneaky Kmart steals that’ll do just fyne. Try going for a simple, minimal style or maybe even give the ‘ol trendy wooden board a go!
  2. Background

    Think about different backgrounds you could take a photo on all around the house. Look for different textures like timber, tiles, marble, rugs, the pool, grass…or you might just be surprised how well the floor could work too! 

  3. Add Your Own Ingredients
    Check out our blog on the different ways you can Enjoy Youfoodz Your Way - this might give you some ideas on how to try plating up your own meals! Why not add a side salad, some freshly grated cheese, cracked black pepper or your fave dressing? Have a look in the pantry and get creative!

Aaand the plating bit? We teamed up with Head Chef, Dan from Rogue Bar + Bistro to get some inspo on how to plate like a pro, so here’s how it’s done…!

Meal: Roast Chicken & Country Veg
Extra ingredients: Pumpkin puree
Garnish: Thyme sprigs
Tips: Cut & peel the layers of the baby onion & char in a frypan for a minute! Make some extra gravy or jus to fill the onion layers.

 

Meal: Pesto & Pumpkin Chicken Salad
Extra ingredients: Extra pesto & balsamic dressing
Garnish: Watercress
Tips: Use a ring cutter to keep ingredients in place!

 

Meal: Raspberry & Coconut Protein Pancakes
Extra ingredients: Fresh berries & whipped cream (for cheat day only!) - try yoghurt for a healthier option!
Garnish: Fresh coconut shavings & raspberry jam
Tips: Sandwich / stack your fave toppings between the pancake layers!
