How to Eat Doughnuts and Cannelloni – and STILL Lose Weight!

We love hearing stories about how the Fam achieve their health goals. The catalyst for Adrian Casuscelli's weight-loss journey was a relationship breakdown. Realising he wasn’t happy in his body, he knew he deserved better and it was time to put himself first! Read on for the lowdown about how you too can eat doughnuts and cannelloni – and still lose weight!

“When your world gets flipped upside down, flip it right back over,” Adrian says about his amazing transformation from 98kg to 85kg in just 14 weeks!

Adrian stayed true to his word and committed to making his health a priority, even with a busy lifestyle of working two jobs and intense sporting commitments.

“When I started my weight-loss journey, I struggled at first. I am such a foodie and I can eat like a horse, but I kept my goals at the forefront of my mind and trained hard. I play soccer and rugby too, and I’m training or playing a game five nights a week!

“I also started going to the gym at 6am every morning before work, which seems like a lot. I have always enjoyed sport, but my love of fitness grew even more when I set goals for myself.

“I turned to Youfoodz in the first week of my diet plan because it was easy and I could monitor my macros.

“I made a huge change with my diet; I went from eating junk food such as chips and chocolate daily to tracking my calories and macros through My Fitness Pal. Being able to scan Youfoodz barcodes straight into the app made tracking so easy!

“My breakfast consists of oats with protein powder and water, after my morning gym session I follow that up with a protein shake.

“My morning snack is a Choc Protein Doughnut, lunch is Creamy Mushroom Cannelloni and dinner is Beef Lasagne or YF Fried Chicken & Gravy. Before bed, I have another protein shake with peanut butter,” he says.

“Youfoodz is not just convenient, it’s also tasty! I’ve been on a different meal plan before with a company I won’t name, and it was horrible. Eating felt like a chore!

Adrian’s hard work and dedication paid off during his recent trip through Europe: he’s never felt better in his body.

“I worked out on my holiday as I didn't want to lose progress. Now that I'm back, I’m keen to see how much further I can push my body.”

Adrian’s next goal?

“I’m back in the gym, getting ready for my first Aussie summer where I feel more confident in my body than ever!”
