This PT Eats Pizza Every Day (No, Seriously)

Meg Tovey’s love of Buffalo Chicken Pizza is deep and it’s real.

She literally eats it on the daily… and did we mention she’s a personal trainer with a killer rig? This girl is straight goals.

While she’s prepping for an upcoming bodybuilding comp, the pizza is a diet staple.

“I’m on really high calories at the moment so it’s like a snack for me, calorie-wise!” says Meg. “I’ve literally fit one of these pizzas into my macros six days a week for the last five months ‘cos they’re that [forkin] good.”

We caught up with Meg to get the lowdown on her low-key obsession with Youfoodz pizza.

Your love for the Buffalo Chicken Pizza is legendary around YF HQ. Do you remember when you first fell in love with it?

It was in one of my online orders. I used to get different meals to try them all, but eventually I was ordering five pizzas and one chargrilled chicken for weeks in a row!

I eat it literally every day. There’s maybe one day a week when I don’t have it, and it’s either because I haven’t ordered it in time or can’t find one at the shops near me.

I’m trying to remember when I started on Youfoodz… it feels like forever! I started ordering online, then found the meals in IGA. There’d be about a million and one pizzas I’ve bought from IGA.


How long have you been a PT?

About two years where I’m at now – Snap Fitness at Sherwood – but I was training on and off for about a year before that.

I was doing professional dancing before but the work wasn’t super consistent, so I started exploring training and just loved it.

The hours ended up being crazy and I couldn’t keep doing both, so I canned the dancing to focus on my PT career.

Youfoodz fit into my lifestyle so easily. It’s so handy – and I’m also the worst cook in the world!



Do you recommend Youfoodz to your clients?

Yes! All the time.

It’s so easy to recommend. Obviously I love Youfoodz and I’m going to recommend it anyway, but it’s great because the meals are only 300 or 400 calories, so I can say ‘eat three of those’ and it’s still only 1200 calories.

Chuck in a couple of snacks or a brekky and it’s super easy. I have quite a few clients who do that.  


Besides the Buffalo Chicken Pizza, obvs, what’s your fave YF meal?

The Chargrilled Lemon Pepper Chicken – so good!
