Spring has officially SPRUNG for 2019 (is it us, or does it feel like it’s springing a little earlier each year?) and the Youfoodz menu is overflowing with new faves for this cheery season.

It’s Salad Season

If winter was all about comfort food, spring brings those warmer weather feels and LIGHT is the word of the day. Or season. We’re swapping out hearty winter warmers for fresh and delicious gourmet salads like the Chicken Pesto Pasta Salad and Balsamic Lamb & Feta Salad. Grab and go, no microwave required! Perfect for those springtime picnics in the park.

Feta is better

We LOVE feta cheese! You may notice it makes a special guest appearance in several of our new menu items, like the Chicken & Broc with Feta Dressing, or the Loaded Falafel & Pumpkin Salad. Feta is fantastic, because it’s actually lower in calories and fat than many other cheeses. It also contains a high amount of B vitamins, phosphorus, and calcium, which are great for healthy bones. Plus, so tasty!

We love those crunchy bits

Sometimes it’s that final flourish that really makes a meal, ya know? This season our finishing touches are LIT. We’ve got pepitas for fibre and magnesium (Chicken & Broc with Feta Dressing), pine nuts for vitamin E (Balsamic Lamb & Feta Salad), and walnuts for omega-3 and iron (Chicken Pesto Pasta Salad). Plus, they all bringing a little crunch and depth of flavour to your meals. Delish!

A little spice is quite nice

This season we were inspired by the fresh flavours of Thailand (after all, what’s fresher than Thai cuisine?). That’s why you’ll find fragrant ingredients like lemongrass (Thai Chicken Noodles) which have fabulous health benefits, as well as taste great. We’ve also combined Thai staples like coconut cream and ginger (Thai Curry Chicken Pie) for that unmistakable Southeast Asian flavour.
